19th Annual Scholarship Banquet

Saturday, June 17, 2017

Dear Christian Friends,

On Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 11:30 a.m., the Siloam Baptist Church will hold its 19th Annual Scholarship Banquet at the Westover Country Club, 401 S. Schuylkill Avenue, Jeffersonville PA 19403.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Raymond Janifer

Professor, of English and Ethnic Studies, Shippensburg University

Theme – “God Has Given Us the Power to Succeed” 2 Timothy 1:7

Over the years, we have awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships and book awards to numerous deserving students from our community. We thank those of you who have supported our efforts in the past, and encourage those who are new to our program to join us in providing a bridge to higher education for our students.

Again, we come to you for your support in enabling us to continue giving scholarships to our local youth to assist them in furthering their education. You can help make this endeavor a success by purchasing a table of 10 tickets for the scholarship banquet. The cost is $450.00 per table or $50.00 per individual ticket. Tickets sold after June 7 are $55 each or $500.00 for a table of 10. Tickets for children 12 years and under are $ 25.00 per child ($30.00 after June 7.) Checks should be made payable to Siloam Baptist Church and mailed to the church at the address above or given to any member of the Education Ministry.

“By Faith, We Build Together” Faith Confessions

In order to build a building, we must build our faith.

This Faith Confession declares who we are in Christ Jesus and what he does for us.

Say it out loud daily and read the scriptures as a way to build your faith.

• I am a co-laborer with God

-1 Thessalonians 3:2

• I am forgiven by His blood and led by His Spirit

-Ephesians 1:7, Romans 8:14

• I am walking by faith and not by sight

-2 Corinthians 5:7

• I therefore cast all my cares on Jesus

-1 Peter 5:7

Hope, Healing & Wholeness Is Risen!

April 16, 2017

Construction of our expanded building is almost complete!  Moving dirt, laying bricks, pouring concrete have given way to work on the final details. Painting of the new rooms, preparing to install new carpet and even an emergency phone line in the elevator are all underway. We will utilize the new space for seniors, adults, youth and execute a variety of programs for our congregation and community. The physical hope the new facility provides will soon complement the spiritual hope the risen Christ offers. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

As we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our church is poised to further extend the Great Commission that this day ultimately represents. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.  (Matthew 28:18)

Please consider partnering with us in our By Faith, We Build Together campaign. You can make a donation through Siloam BC Online Giving and selecting option “Capital Funds Campaign”.
