After the death of Reverend Harris, Siloam was pleased to announce that Reverend David Minus of Coatesville had agreed to accept the invitation extended to him by the officers of the church to serve as its interim Pastor. Reverend Minus assumed his duties on Sunday, October 21, 1991 at the morning worship hour. He was an instant hit with the congregation.
Siloam was blessed to have Reverend Minus, even if only for a short while. He is an evangelist and powerful Gospel singer. Under him, the church increased its membership, and a new spirit of rejuvenation was born. He revived the Willing Workers Club and the Youth and Gospel Choirs.
During his short tenure of only 21 months, the lower auditorium was renovated and dedicated, and the outside lot was landscaped. He left a legacy of love and dreams which the church will use in the days ahead as we strive for greater heights. The congregation loved and respected him and his dear wife, Martha. Reverend Minus instituted Family and Friends Day held on the second Sunday in October. At these special times, the church family is refreshed by an outpouring of good Christian fellowship.
