You can snack on "Forgiveness Fudge" all day long and it won’t make you fat – but it will fill you up with good spiritual food! The Primary and Junior classes learned about God’s forgiveness and how we should forgive one another just like God forgives us. First, they dramatized the story of the Lost Son in Luke 15:11-32 and then talked about how important it is to say you’re sorry when you’ve done something wrong.
The classes then looked up the ingredients in "Forgiveness Fudge" and matched them to a fudge recipe to make them easier to remember. Try the recipe below. It will remind you of the important steps we need to take when we have done something that displeases God or that hurts parents, friends, or colleagues.
Ps. 32:5 Confession
Admit to God (and to your parent/friend/colleague) that you have done something wrong. Say, "I’m sorry."
Acts 3:19 Repentance
Make a conscious decision to stop doing wrong (turn away from sin) and do only those things that please God. The next time you are faced with temptation to sin, ask yourself, "What would Jesus do?"
James 5:16 Prayer
Talk to God; tell him what you’ve done; ask him to forgive you and to help you do the right thing next time
James 4:10 Humility
Admit that you need God’s help to turn away from temptation; he will help you to master your temper, be obedient, speak courteously, remain faithful, act honestly, and even to forgive those who have hurt you.
Psalm 106:1 Thankfulness
Thank and praise God for his complete forgiveness. Remember that "as far as the east is from the west, so far has God removed our sins from us." Ps. 103:12
Follow the recipe below to make a batch of homemade fudge like the Sunday School classes did to help you remember what we need to do when we have done something that makes God unhappy.

(Repentance) Real Cocoa powder (1/2 cup)
(Prayer) Powdered Sugar (4 cups)
(Humility) evaporated milk (2 Tbsp. + 2 tsp.)
(Thankfulness) salt (1/8 tsp.) + vanilla (1/2 tsp.)
Beat cream cheese; blend in sugar and cocoa. Add milk, salt and vanilla and beat until smooth. Press into buttered pan and chill overnight in refrigerator.
